Signed to Universal Music, Jean-Pierre Steyn is a graduate of the University of Cape Town and an award-winning songwriter, composer, producer and arranger. He has written for artists Jackie Evancho (platinum selling recording artist and runner-up on America's Got Talent, Season Five), Lynelle Kenned (multi award-winning musical theatre actress), Amy Campbell (winner of South Africa's Got Talent, Season Eight as part of Anecnote), and Franklin Larey (multi award-winning concert pianist), to name a few. His musical output is diverse and ranges from commercial pop to contemporary classical.
Apart from writing music, Jean-Pierre is a sought after music educator and musical director. His teachers include Franklin Larey, Graham Fitch, Martin Watt, Peter Klatzow and Hendrik Hofmeyr.
